Starlink Applications Available via WWW
Select the item name for a form to obtain the item, or the documentation
link to view the documentation. If you have problems using this method,
try using the FTP service.
The following Starlink Software Items are now available (date indicates

- A package of tools for manipulating coodrinate frame mappings and
destriptions, corresponding to the functinality in the AST library
- AUTOASTROM

- Autoastrometry of mosaics. The new document (SUN/242)
AUTOASTROM - Autoastrometry for Mosaics describes the package. AUTOASTROM
is not available under Tru64 Unix.
- ASTERIX (Spring 2000)
- The ASTERIX X-ray data reduction package has been withdrawn from
the Starlink Collection at the request of the support group at Birmingham.
The Starlink distribution of ASTERIX is no longer supported. You may
obtain limited best-efforts support from the Birmingham group based
on the development versions which are still being maintained. Visit
the Asterix Home Page
for support and installation sets.

Getting Started with the Starlink Java Infrastructure and Applications
Set describes the package and javadocs
describe the Starlink STARJAVA classes API. STARJAVA is packaged with a Java GUI installer
that can be run on Linux, Sparc Solaris, Windows 98SE > and Mac OS X. To install STARJAVA just
run the downloaded jar file with the java command "java -jar starjava.jar".The installer
will walk you through the installation process. It is recommended that you install STARJAVA
in its own unique installation directory, separate from the other Starlink software.
Please read the instructions presented to you when you run the installer.
